about the RTC Orlando Reunion 2018
Reunion registration costs $35.00 per RTC-affiliated shipmate, $20 for an adult guest, and children 12 and under are free. Events are ticketed separately and range from free to $65 per person.
Check the current event schedule. We will be adding exact hours for each event as we get closer to the reunion.
The deadline to register and purchase tickets is Sunday, September 30, 2018, or until the event tickets are sold out (events will appear as sold out on the registration page).
RTC-affiliated means a US Navy veteran who:
- Graduated from Recruit Training at RTC Orlando, or
- Was a Company Commander at RTC Orlando, or
- Was stationed at RTC Orlando as a Staff member.
We also welcome shipmates who were students or staff at Naval Training Center (NTC) Orlando.
Main registration is FREE for children 12 and under.
The following events have special pricing for registered children (12 and under) when accompanied by an RTC-affiliated registered adult:
- Capone’s Dinner Theater
- Bluejacket Banquet
For all other events, each person (of any age) must have a ticket, even if the event is free.
Absolutely. Once you pay for your main reunion registration, you can purchase tickets for the reunion events of your choosing.
You can pay online using a credit or debit card (no PayPal this time), or send a check through the mail.
Checks should be made out to “RTCOR” and mailed to:
4555 West Oraibi Drive
Glendale AZ 85308
Please include a printed receipt for your tickets with the check. That’ll help us match the payment to the correct shipmate.
No! Once you purchase your main reunion registration, you can come back any time to buy tickets to events. Buy all at once or spread it over a few months, whatever’s best for you.
NOTE: You will have to fill out the registration form each time you return, even though you only have to pay the registration fee ONCE. Please use the same email address each time you return so we can match up your purchases.
Tickets will be included in your registration packet when you check in to the reunion. You’ll need these tickets for meals and special events.
Parking at the Ramada Kissimmee Gateway is FREE for guests.
Blue Jacket Park is a city park and offers FREE parking.
If you drive to Capone’s Dinner Theater, they offer FREE parking for guests.
If you are attending the Navy Birthday Ball, we recommend using a cab, Uber, or Lyft.
No, breakfast is not included in the reunion events. However, the Ramada Kissimmee Gateway has a very nice full breakfast buffet for $7.95 per person with our special coupons ($9.95 normal price).
Thanks for asking! For most of the reunion, we want you to be very comfortable. Wear casual clothing suited for October in Florida. Don’t forget a swimsuit for the pool!
If you plan to attend the Navy Birthday Ball, we’ve published an article about the formal dress code.
When you register for the reunion, you must agree to the Terms & Policies we’ve established to make the registration and attendance as smooth as possible. Please read them first before you agree to be bound by them.
Unfortunately, we only possess copies of the photo or Rudder if our shipmates have submitted them to us. Check our Photos page for the link to our private Flickr albums for the company pictures, or to submit your own.
To help you find your company photo and/or your Rudder, we’ve compiled some helpful resources in this article.
If you already possess your company yearbook from boot camp, we ask that you submit scanned copies of the company pages (those with specific information about your company) to our RTCOR Historian, Ann Marie (Byrnes) LaDue. She is collecting Rudders for our society and they will eventually be available to all members.
